Nazurah was in her room reading when I took this shot. She was about to finish the book. Placed her at an angle abt 45 degrees to the window to have her right side lighted. By the time this was posted she had completed the book.

Welcome To Waraburi Karon, Phuket

Welcome To Waraburi Karon, Phuket

Have nothing to shoot until I found this 'Welcome to' tag from Waraburi Hotel, Karon, Phuket, Thailand during our December holiday. Decided to do some setup and shoot using candles. I found it's quite tough to meter under this condition. A spotlight was used behind the foldable fan (backdrop) to light it up. Need more practice on candle shot.

Mus Hoody

Mus is back as my model again ... :) Wearing a hoody jacket Mus is more relax today.
Place two yellow board, one on table directly below his face and the other on stand to his left, to act as reflector. Didnt have any white board so have to use the yellow ones. Our hall was lighted with yellow lights and did WB correction to correct the color. Flash bounced to left behind of camera.

Stack of Steel

Stack Of Steel

Today I went out with my family and brought my camera along. Saw this red pile of steel stacked up on my way home at sungai kadut and decided to take a shot. I did some post processing using Capture NX to correct the WB and enhanced the colour a little bit.

This is my first try at abstract .... However, not too sure which is nicer; in sepia or black n white.
SB-600 flash was on-camera bounced to ceiling on left behind of camera with 'A Better Bounce Card' attached. One Philips incadescent light bulb was used infront of book to create the heart-shaped shadow effect.

When is this gonna end ... sigh

When is this gonna end ... sigh

Well today used my sb600 flash with a DIY white umbrella to shoot this photo. Converted the shot to sepia. I think it's a better photo then the previous 2 days, however, Mus is not in a very good mood today. ....

Did some settings to my camera before shoot (after reading this article Understanding the Nikon D200 Multi Cam 1000 AF Module):
Optimize Imgae : Custom
Tone Compensation : Medium High
Saturation : Moderate
Sharpening : Medium High

Mus Posing

NBI2008-01-02_23_15_32_4R

Today I created the 'A Better Bounce Card Pro' and tested it on Mus. You can visit the site listed on my photography link on how to make one for yourself. May be this photo is a bit underexposed. Well hope to improve further in the future.

I corrected the WB slightly causing it to be slightly darker. On second thought should have not touch the WB at all. No other editing was done.
